LISA PATTEN

The work Susan does at New Roots Move Management combines her expertise in move management, organization and space planning with her passion and experience working with older adults. This unique skill set enables her to successfully and compassionately assist older adults with their organizational and relocation needs.

 

SUSAN'S BACKGROUND INCLUDES:

  • Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services with concentrations in Gerontology & Social Work-1986 Syracuse University.

  • North East Area Program Manager for the award-winning intergenerational program Sages & Seekers- 2016-2019

  • Activities Assistant at Traditions of Wayland Assisted Living 2016-2017

  • Volunteer at; 2life Communities, Wayland Senior Center, Meals on Wheels 2015-2018

  • Director of Facilities; Move, Construction & Project Management for Boston Based Tech & Entertainment Companies, 1992-2013

 

Susan is a Boston Native. She grew up in Newton MA and lives with her husband and 4 children  in Wayland MA.

 

Susan is organized, efficient & loves logistics!  She has a natural passion and lifelong connection with older adults.

We help simplify life’s transitions!

Lisa brings to New Roots Move Management first-hand experience transitioning an aging parent with dementia from their beloved home of 30 years to an assisted living and then nursing home setting. With each of our clients, Lisa demonstrates care, compassion and awareness of how overwhelming this process can be for everyone involved.

 

Lisa also has tremendous organizing and decluttering skills that she has developed as a teacher and  through many years of volunteering for, and ultimately leading a large scale annual rummage sale at her church.  She is the creative brains of our team and has a real passion for design that helps her create warm and safe living spaces for our clients. She also brings a great deal of leadership and managerial experience from many volunteer positions such as serving as President of the Parent Teacher Association of her daughter's school and Commodore of a sailing club on Cape Cod. Lisa has earned a Certificate of Study in Understanding the needs of the Aging Client from ICD.

 

Lisa enjoys time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is also an avid tennis player, sailor, runner and enjoys needlepointing and knitting every chance she can get. Lisa grew up in Needham, MA.  She and her husband live in Wayland, MA.
